Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

A part that fails in operation costs both time & money. Upon request, we use static FEA to improve the design & function of the parts. This requires the knowledge for setting-up the boundary conditions properly.

 

Mesh control is used in areas of high stress to locate potential design problems. A geometry and / or material change may be required to improve the design.

 

For sheet metal parts, the shell mesh method is preferred. Solid meshs can be used on machined-parts.

RENDERING

Rendering is the process of generating an image from a model. Some of the key elements are: Indirect illumination, Contour rendering, and Environmental mapping.

 

We can provide photorealistic Rendering of 3-D CAD part & assembly models having photographic realizm before the models are even prototyped or manufactured. These rendering can then be used for product marketing purposes.

Overmold requirement?

If your application requires overmolding, an elastomer such as silicone bonded to a substrate, then we can help.

 

The 3-D CAD part file can be constructed with both the substrate and overmolding as two separate bodies.

 

We work with the injection-molder to optimize the design to function as desired
