Background History:
Before working with clients in the medical device and consumer products, our experience came from a background of designing automation equipment.
Reverse Engineering?
If your application requires reverse engineering, we can import digital scans (mesh or point cloud data) of handcrafted models into SolidWorks using the SW ScanTo3D add-in.
It is also possible to import design concepts created from other 3-D CAD software. To do so, it is recommended that these files be exported as a STEP, IGES, or Parasolid file format.
The imported files can be recreated as native Solidworks or Pro/Engineer part files containing a feature history for part modification as needed.
